Is Trauma Still Shaping Your Life?

You might be here because:

  • You've been in therapy for years and still feel stuck in the same place.

  • Nightmares, flashbacks or a constant sense of threat make it hard to rest.

  • You feel numb, empty or like there's a void inside you.

  • The same painful patterns keep showing up in your relationships.

  • You function well on the outside, but inside you're exhausted.

  • You don't recognize the person you've become since something happened.

  • What happened in childhood still feels like it's happening now.

Trauma doesn't stay in the past. It lives in your nervous system, your relationships and the way you see yourself. The good news: with the right treatment, it can be resolved.

What makes UCTR different

Many of our clients come to us after years of weekly talk therapy. They've gained insight, but the trauma is still running their lives. We work differently.

1

Longer, focused sessions

90-minute sessions give us time to process trauma fully instead of stopping just as the work gets started.

Every client follows a clear sequence, from stabilization to processing to rebuilding, so you always know where you are and what comes next.

2

A defined path

Healing doesn't pause between appointments. Messaging support, a workbook and practical tools keep you moving forward.

3

Support between sessions

How Treatment Works: The Integrated Trauma Resolution Model (ITRM)

The Integrated Trauma Resolution Model (ITRM) is a structured, four-phase trauma treatment framework developed by Jordan Meyer at the Utah Center for Trauma Recovery. It moves clients through nervous system stabilization, trauma processing with EMDR, identity rebuilding and future planning, in a defined sequence over about 90 days.

Four steps, shown as numbered cards:

  1. Stabilize. Calm your nervous system and build the skills to feel safe in your body again.

  2. Process. Resolve traumatic memories at their root using EMDR and ITRM-based techniques.

  3. Rebuild. Reconnect with who you are now, not who trauma told you to be.

  4. Move forward. Set a clear direction for your life with the tools to sustain it.

Who we help

Complex PTSD

For adults whose trauma happened over months or years, not in a single moment, and who feel it in every part of life.

Childhood Trauma & Abuse

For adults still carrying neglect, abuse or chaos from childhood, often as shame, anxiety or a feeling of never being enough.

Single-Event Trauma

For accidents, assaults, sudden loss and other moments that divided life into "before" and "after."

Injury & Medical Trauma

For people whose injury, illness or medical experience left fear, hypervigilance or a changed sense of self, even after the body healed.

Jordan Meyer, MA, CCTP | PhD Candidate, Performance Psychology | Licensed Trauma Therapist | EMDR-Certified Clinician | Keynote Speaker

At 16, a spinal injury ended my athletic career overnight. Relearning to walk was hard. Rebuilding my identity was harder. That experience, the collapse of self after a life-altering event, and the long process of rebuilding, became the foundation of everything I do.

I'm a trauma therapist, PhD candidate in performance psychology, and the creator of the Identity Reconstruction Model (IRM). I've worked with athletes, executives, trauma survivors, and high performers navigating the same fundamental question: who am I now that everything has changed? I founded UCTR because I lived that question myself, and because I knew there was a better answer than indefinite weekly therapy. The ITRM is that answer.

If you've survived something that changed who you are, I understand that more than most. And I built this practice specifically for you.
